out of the ashes
Just rented and watched this movie tonight.

Not what I expected, kept me a bit on edge and didn't end the way I figured it would.

Not too bad.

Then I watched "The Ugly Truth", which I thought was great. Of course, Gerard Butler is in it for the chicks and Katherine Heigl for the gents - eye candy all around.

When I was stationed in Japan (both times) a lot of us guys wanted the Nissan Skyline. Nice lookin' car but a little out of my price range at the time.

According to Rottentomatoes.com

Skyline - 17% with a box office of $12.0 million
The Ugly Truth - 14% with a box of $88.9 million

two horrible movies - but at least we won't be seeing a sequel to either.

(actually i didn't find the ugly truth to be that bad - just formulaic and tired)
