Havana, May 9 (Prensa Latina) A sketch of the face of Cuban piano player and composer Frank Fernandez, painted by Ecuadorian Oswaldo Guayasamin, is exhibited in the Cuban UNESCO Office in Havana.
Oswaldo Guayasamin (1919-1999) never got a portrait of the Cuban famous piano player materialized, but he expressed his admiration and friendship for him with brief strokes of his own hand.
Trained at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Fernández has composed more than 650 works for different formats, ballet, choirs and symphonies to music for films and television.
