I used to to keep all the words that I typed into my search engine even when I restarted the computer. I can still see them if I press the down arrow by the search history bar, but they disappear if I exit Internet Explorer and then go back in.....how can I retain them?
    Thanks!

    At the Action Bar:

Go to Tools --> Internet Options --> General Tab -->Browsing History --> Delete Browsing History Checkbox.

    Make sure it is unchecked.

If you use Google (others as well, I would suppose), it can also be a setting in your Google Account preferences. Might check there if the IE solution doesn't work.
