Should the U.S. Take Over Mexico and South America?

How about Canada too? Let's rule the whole continent.

No need for a wall, just take over all Southern land mass.

A wall just south of the Panama Canal would do the trick. It would be a short wall but very tall and very fortified.

Why not just start these troll threads in the badlands to start with?

But the US can't run itself properly, let alone other countries.

Think Iraq and Afghanistan for the US's "ability" to run another country.
Well if we really tried and got everyth

You gonna pay for that?

Yep....Excellent investment if you ask me. Cocaine will be legalized and create a huge market. Mexico will prosper...It's a Win/Win !!
Yeah the never ending civil wars and economic sanctions the rest of the world enacts will be offset by revenue from legal cocaine :laugh2:

Ha! Ha! Seriously??? The US is the most powerful country on the face of the Earth!!! Other countries are lucky we just don't annex them.

The sort of talk of fascists.

The US might be the most powerful country on the face of the Earth, that doesn't mean the US is good at running other countries.

It also doesn't mean the US will be the strongest country in 20 years time either.

Wait till China comes up, will you be demanding they annex the US?

They are lucky that the U.S. is not fascist. If we take over South America they would no longer be countries, they would be States! They would need to accept State Hood. A no brainer because they'd be instantly rich. I'd push for legalizing Marijuana and coca. Two crops that would bring economic prosperity to the U.S.

Or they're lucky the US fascists don't have total control.

But then when fascists take control, they usually burn out, like Hitler, like Mussolini.

You don't think there aren't US fascists?

American Nazi Party - Wikipedia

Well, the Nazi Party exists.

Martin Kerr, apparently, is the leader. But also, apparently, there is another American Nazi Party out there.

David Duke was/is a member.
I think Stephen "Don" Black was a member too, he's the guy behind stormfront.org.

These are just a few of the fascists in the US.

Re: the thread title question

As a point of fact, the United States has already "taken over" Mexico in a sense.

In the 1840s, the United States started a war that resulted in the northern part of Mexico being taken away. (A young Congressman named Abraham Lincoln opposed this aggression.)

At the beginning of the 20th century, Mexico got its first democratically elected president in a long time: Francisco Madero. The army asked the American ambassador whether it would be all right to oust President Madero. The ambassador replied in the affirmative. (Oh, by the way, the army also murdered President Madero.)

The United States (or more accurately American companies) in effect took over several Central American countries. And the United States proudly stole Panama from Colombia in order to build the canal

Some people feel that it is karma that Mexico and Central America are now "taking over" the United States through illegal immigration.

Mexico started the Mexican-American War. At the end of the war they sold us some of their territory, it wasn’t “taken.”
