Wouldn't the money be better spent on the poor instead of the wealthy NFL. People complain about giving money for food stamps and welfare but are more than happy to give it to the NFL

If the taxpayers in a locality or a state want to subsidize a football stadium then that's their decision to do so as long as the rest of us are not on the hook for it. Far as I'm concerned, I don't like subsidies of any kind to anybody and whatever tax rules and deductions there are ought to be uniform for everybody, no special favors.
