Should Machine guns (fully automatic weapons) be legal for average citizens to own?

Where did you get the preposterous idea that you (or we, as you stated) are the bosses of the military and police? Especially, the military. The military is a hierarchy command structure, and if you are not in the chain of command, you certainly are not a 'boss.'

One of the essential founding principles of this country is that legitimate government is a servant to the people, with the people being the rightful master over government. If you believe otherwise, then you are part of what is currently the biggest and most destructive problem with this nation as it now stands.

It still doesn't put average citizens anywhere within the chain of command. However, it DOES mean that the military takes it's orders from duly elected officials who themselves are not IN the military and have no military rank.

To whom are these duly elected officials accountable? They are supposed to be accountable to us, the American people. And ultimately, all of government is supposed to be accountable to us. We are its master, not the other way around. That you think that there is any part of government that has the authority to be a master over us just shows how badly astray you, and too many others of our countrymen, have gone.
