Should LA be evacuated before the earthquake ?

LA had an earthquake back in the late 80s.

Same with San Francisco. The tension has been released.

Up here in the Northwest, we have been over 240 years since the last big one. And the last one, back in the 18th Century was a humdinger that caused a huge tidal wave that hit japan. When the big one goes here, it will be in the range of 10 or greater.

But they seem to occur very infrequently here, in the range of 400 years or so. I am not worried.

Now if Mt Rainier goes, the casualty numbers will satisfy even Nuebarth.

San Andreaus fault runs from Pt Reys, across Marin County, the follows the bay to San Jose and then runs down the imperial valley to the Colorado river and into the Gulf of California.

Would be one big island.

They could name it Gayfornica Island.

The conditions are not static
there are continuous changes in the pacific rim

If the illegals went home isn't that the same thing as evacuating LA?

No. It would be called a sigh of relief!

Property values would increase.

Average test scores would improve.

Air would smell better.

Birds would chirp.

People would sing.

Life would be good again!

We do not have the resources to evacuate LA.

Even if we could get the people out (whcih we can not) there's no place to send them and no resources to house or feed them.
