Many American Indians see Thanksgiving as a day of mourning. They say this day called Thanksgiving, represents the destruction and theft of their land , America, and their people. After the Indians showed the white Pilgrims what plants, and animals that can be eaten, they were slaughtered, and their land stolen from them. Many American Indians see the celebration as a big insult, upon the most evil act of their genocide, and theft of their land. Your thoughts on this "Thanksgiving" celebration.?

Thanksgiving is about giving thanks to Almighty God and has nothing specifically to do with the injuns at all.

Of course, since libs really hate Almighty God and the idea that America is one nation under God, I could see the holiday getting officially shitcanned.

I’m going to eat some stuffing and pecan pie, and root for Dallas to lose. Thanksgiving has always been celebrated by me and my family. Everyone should do however they please.

What's the problem with Indians crying and anglos celebrating, 52nd?

They are both correct in their own perspectives.

The image of the towers collapsing makes Americans cry but it brings a huge smile on the faces of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians because they see it as another nail on Israel's coffin, the country that stole their land and sent them to exile.

What's the problem with the old saying:

One man's happiness is another man's sadness.

Only a small handful of leftist Indians are peeved about Thanksgiving.

The rest are too busy counting the money their casinos and smoke shops are bringing in.

The Natives were decimated and their civilization collapsed after first contact with the Europeans long before the Pilgrims arrived.

But this white man bringing disease and death has happened quite a few times in the past. Stealing the land and natural resources, and enslaving the indigenous people.!?!

You do realize the Indians were fighting, stealing & enslaving each other before the evil white man came, don't you?
Some of the tribes were known cannibals & slavers

In the late 1400s, a terrifying disease erupted in Europe, leaving victims with bursting boils and rotting flesh. The syphilis epidemic raged across the continent, killing up to 5 million people. For centuries, historians, and archaeologists have debated the origin of the disease, with some blaming Christopher Columbus and his crew for bringing it back from the Americas. Now, using DNA of the pathogen extracted from the remains of nine Europeans, researchers have found evidence that the epidemic was homegrown: Diverse syphilis strains were circulating in Europe, perhaps decades before Columbus's voyages.

The team went looking for syphilis, but what they found was a much wider array of Treponemal strains: not just syphilis, but also yaws, which today is found exclusively in the tropics, and a previously undiscovered strain with no modern-day counterpart. "We see that many different lineages were present in Europe, which we did not know before," Schuenemann says. What's more, the dating range given to two strains is bounded on the lower end by ages in the early to mid-1400s—potentially the first DNA evidence that syphilis existed in Europe prior to Columbus's contact with the Americas, the team reports today in Current Biology.

What absurdity. The Indians were not peaceful, certain violent tribes preyed on other tribes, and cannibalism was big in many places, particularly in the Caribbean.

They set forest fires to get the game to run out; fires they could not stop. Etc.
