At the end of Trump's administration, because of three Republican presidents who cut taxes for the rich, this had grown to 129% US National Debt by Year
I don't disagree with your premise. That was Reagan's brand. Spend like crazy and cut taxes. It would be like quitting your job for four years, and living on debt for four years to take your kids to every amusement park in existence. They'd love you for it. That was Reagan's thing. Who wouldn't love him? Oh yeah. Grown ups. At least when democrats go on a spending spree they increase their income to fund it. Republicans cut taxes to pay for their spending sprees. It is brilliant math for a politician that wants to get re-elected next term but has no interest in getting reelected two, three, four, or five terms away. At some point somebody has to be responsible. I think it is better to be responsible intentionally rather than have responsibility forced upon you later.
