Should be clear now that obama doesn't know what he's doing

It's odd that one has to keep pointing out that Obama had the Presidency, Senate and the House for a couple of years and no budget. He waited for the moment to to politicize the "debt ceiling crisis" to try and he blow it up into a political win.. The man is to vain to realize that he is in way over his head and is currently building an image of incompetency to show much of the nation. We are all living in the pile of manure Obama has created and we will all have to pull ourselves out of it while we watch the next guy try and undue the destruction that Obama has wrought on our country.

Im sure you liberals can tell me why all the seals were on a slow pos, who in the.mil snitched to the enemy they were on such a cow of a helo, and who made the billions of dollars on the inside info about the downgrade that was coming.

Over to you.

Bull... he tried compromising with people who aren't willing to. He was entirely too diplomatic when he talked about the Tea Party gridlock and the Veteran Conservatives who spur the rookies on. He should have called them out forcefully at every opportunity. Shamed them into working on a balanced solution to the debt issue.

He told Eric Cantor not to call his bluff. He walked out of negotiations with the GOP. He gave his big speech about corporate jets and millionaires and billionaires.
And he ended up signing on to a compromise he wasn't part of.

He's stood up for principles all right. He just can't get what he wants because no one will go for that.

Bullshit... if it weren't for the crazies of the Tea Party.... a reasonable deal would have gotten done way before the day of default, and it would have been a much stronger deal.

So that's his re-election slogan - "I failed because of the tea party"?? Bring it on - a priceless gift to whomever the GOP candidate is. :D

What should be clear is the TPM has no idea what it’s doing.

Which is of great concern considering the House is solely responsible for the Nation's financial policy (!) per the Constitution.

You flunk - retake 8th grade american government.

Everything started going to hell right after the Republicans won the 2010 election (at least in the house)

and Obama foolishly starting caving in to them.

How's that 800 billion dollar tax cut from December working? How many jobs has that budget buster created?

He didnt tell Eric Cantor not to call his bluff? He didnt walk out of negotiatians? He didnt give a speech calling out millionaires and billionaires and talking about corporate jets?
What color is the sky in your universe?

And Cantor didn't walk away from previous negotiations? The Tea Party didn't demand CUT ONLY plans and refused to even talk about Revenues? Same color as yours apparently.
ok, so you agree that Obama took his stand and went directly to the American people. And failed.
Glad we got that established.

Yes, all this "Obama needs to man up and take charge" is nonsense. He has never taken charge. And when he tries he fails miserably. Like during the budget negotiations, that required removing him to get anything done.

There was no tax cut in December.
What did Obama cave on?

You know what... I don't agree with your first sentence... I think it goes a little deeper than that... but I do agree with your last paragraph. I am starting to think we need a more staunch personality. You know... one that uses phrases like "evil doers" and says it like it is instead of being in constant "negotiation mode".

BTW... Tomorrow... Wisconsin will be the shot fired across the bow for your group of elitist assholes.

DOW down over 600 points, just today - how's THAT for your 401ks?

For those who pay attention, and searched out the truth, it's been clear at least as far back as obama's nomination that he is singularly unqualified for his post. You could pick a man off the street and probably do better. Obama was the leftwing's ultimate wetdream - a black guy president. Remember how they were frenzied over the "historic" aspect of a black guy president? Obama is merely a public speaker whose glittering generalities and slogans impress the simpleminded. When he got in office, he pulled out a list of who's who of the extreme leftwing for advisers. His original council of economic advisors members have all crept off after leaving the american people with economic disaster. Damn to hell the people who have wrecked this country.

Giving the Republicans 98% of what they wanted, and 100% of what they wanted in December is where Obama went wrong.

We are now living out the consequences of letting a Republican minority have its way.

You have never disputed the facts: That Obama told Cantor not to call his bluff, that Obama walked out on the negotiations, that Obama then gave his millionaires and billionaires speech, and that Obama ended up cut out of the negotiations entirely.
Do you dispute this is what happened? Do you dispute that it shows someone standing up and refusing to negotiate? Do you dispute that it failed miserably?
Does Obama not "say it like it is"? Do you think it is not the millionaires and billionaires in their corporate jets who are causing these problems? Do you think Obama is sugar-coating it when he called Ryan's plan "one leading to something fundamentally different than the one we've known in my life"? Was Obama sugar coating it when he told Congress that the Supreme Court had opened American elections to foreign money, while they were sitting there?

We'll see what happens in WI. I wouldn't be too sure of victory.

Democrats controlled both houses in December. Why would obama give them anything of what they wanted?

You idiot there was no deal that addresses the debt issue. What is it with you people?

And it is clear that neither does congress.

I have said all along that Obama was a 3rd Bush term.

The right seem to think he is.
And perhaps they are right?

And of course business, etc have no input or results at all?
