I love Shel Silverstein. He's a classic. He's done everything...poet, musician, author, playwriter, etc...

A lot of people forget he was a hardcore stoner. Here's some good ones of his. Hard to believe he wrote children's books :udaman:

This first one is my favorite.

This is a great one to play when you're having a bad day.

"In the laid back California town, of sunny San Rafael. Lived a girl named Pearly Sweetcake. You probably knew her well. She been stoned 15 of her 18 years and the story is widely told how she could smoke em' faster, than any one could roll."

Doctor Demento used to play him all the time back in the seventies. Any of you Southern Californians out there remember "Little bit of heaven, 94.7 KMET"?

    Fish Report with a Beat
    Mary Turner and Jim Ladd
    Harrisons' Mic with Mike Harrison
No play list and DJ's that actually had a distinct personality.

(Sigh) Those days are long gone!
