Seriously, I hope the Democrats take the House (but not the Senate)

The big prize is the 2020 elections, where the White House and the Senate will really be in play. If the GOP retains complete control of the government in the interim, you can be sure that the Democrats/MSM will nitpick and misrepresent everything done in the next two years, giving voters a false impression that "change" is desirable (as in 2008).

If the Dems control the House, they will put on a freak show circus which will include trying to impeach Trump and opposing everything he says or does. They can issue subpoenas and pass idiotic legislation, but they will have no power to enforce them. In addition, the current GOP House and Senate can pass a continuing budget resolution for the next two years (thank you Harry Reid) which will make a Democratic House almost completely impotent.

In the meantime the new GOP Senate can change debate rules and approve every appointee and treaty the President puts forth, essentially giving him a free hand to implement his policies. Combined with an hysterical Democratic House, the Republicans could do very well in 2020.

the revolt we see rippling across america is not only against a corporate system that has betrayed workers, but also against liberal democracy itself. this is very dangerous. it will allow the radical right to cement into place an Americanized fascism.

The communist revolution will go down in flames. Give up on it and move somewhere else if you want to goose-step.
