Saudi Arabian women vote, run in local elections for first time

Don't they still stone women to death for being raped? Was voting really their first priority? :dunno:

This incremental expansion of voting rights has spurred some Saudis to hope the Al Saud ruling family, which appoints the national government, will eventually carry out further reforms to open up the political system.

And here we were told that Saudi Prince Alaweed married a woman that was the champion for women's rights. He divorced her in 2013. Guess he wasn't much help for women's rights, eh?
