Boy, this is rich! A group of Satanist's will hold a rally in Tallahassee in support of Scott's proposal to allow students to read "inspirational messages" in class.

Of course, "inspirational messages" is code for religious comments and is a tip of the hat to the Evangelical right who have been pushing to get God "back into our schools."

What Scott and the Evangelical's have never understood is that when you open the door for Christianity in the classroom, you MUST open the door to every other religion too or you violate the 1st Amendment.

Strange bedfellows, indeed: Satanists to rally in support of Florida Gov. Rick Scott?s ?defense of religious liberty? - NY Daily News

I went to school in Tallahassee, this is a first that I know of.

Rick Scott will feel a huge bout of buyers remorse when and his due is up. And not the FOX news, Karl Rove brand either.

As a native Floridian I disapprove of Gov Skelator.

Wonder why no Evangelical, right wing Nutter's want to comment on this story?

Hmmmmmmmmm.

Yeah...that's it! That's the ticket! We got better things to do and it ain't no big deal.

Riiiiiiight. If Satanist's rallied at the White House in support of Obama, I'll bet you'd have plenty to say.

Satanists? Oh thank God. At least they aren't Muslims!

How many rick scotts does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

None. He just tries to bribe the lightbulb to screw itself and lies to everyone, saying that he did it.

Surely floridians need a cuban style socialist governor who will spend like mad to prove his humanity...lol

I'd be fine with students reading "inspirational" quotes. So long as the school doesn't favor one religion over another. Satanist, Christian, Muslim, etc etc.

That's precisely what the Satanist's are planning to do. Reading "inspirational" quotes without favoring one religion over another means they MUST be allowed the right to participate.

I doubt that will be acceptable to the Evangelical's, though, so the next thing we're likely to see is the Governor withdraw his proposal.

Of course they would and you would be responding with, "it's a non story" and "we've got better things to do"........ :lmao:

No I wouldn't. To me, puncturing sacred cows is non-denominational and non-partisan.

Google "Gay Satanists for Obama".
