This is something she is aware of and she knows the burden that it will have on parents of these kids. She should know. She has one. One thing about this is that she is very passionent about the welfare of not just these special needs children but all Americans. She knows that this disaster of a bill passed against the will of the American people will drive up insurance costs and put most with limited income into bankruptsy. Poor Obama. She is making headlines again hammering him right and left and it is paying off for her with the American people as they wake up they realize that she is right.

On a side note, during her speech tonight the crowd went wild when she said this:

"A special needs child probably won't win a nobel prize. Although the nobel prize isn't what it used to be".

Palin: Health care overhaul to hurt special needs | ajc.com

The federal medical care overhaul would limit contributions to health savings accounts and raise insurance costs for people including those with special needs, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said at a fundraiser Tuesday for developmentally disabled children.

She warned that new rules aiming to raise $13 billion by limiting contributions to flexible spending accounts amount to a "hefty tax hike" for families of special needs children struggling with health care costs. And she said families will wind up with fewer care options.

"Our insurance and our care choices will be diminished by this new program," she said to an audience of several thousand at a suburban Atlanta arena. "The government's taking over one-sixth of our economy and we expect the government's going to do a better job than the private sector?"

She said that she was shocked when doctors told her the news when she was 12 weeks pregnant and wondered if she would be patient enough to handle the challenge. But she said she believed God prepared her heart for her son's birth during the pregnancy....

You should check into how her child was getting health care before the book deal. ;)
And this will not effect them.

I hear it is much worse than that

It is my understanding that Obama is going to establish Death Panels for special needs children. Palin should be very worried that Obama is going to kill her baby

    Well, let's see. We have:

    • An end to pre-existing condition exclusions for children (including those with special needs, of course)
    • Mental health parity
    • An end to kids (including special needs kids, of course) being thrown off their parents' plan when they turn 18.

I can see how that would hurt the children.

Where in the constitution does it say we must care for special needs children?

If the Teabaggers can use the constitution to hide behind when Social Security, Medicare, Head Start, unemployment benefits and food stamps are discussed........

Is this the part where Palin tosses her child in the debate and anyone that points out the stupidity of her usual statements gets basted for "attacking her family"?

Every time Palin opens her mouth, something stupid spills forth. I doubt the issue is as clear cut as she presents it here. It never is. Much like her "death panals" clap trap non-sense.

    Also stupid (from your link):

I don't know what is more retarded: The fact that Palin has appointed herself the "language czar" and keeps bringing up the fact that Emmanuel used the term or the fact that she gave Limbaugh a pass for using the same term after Emmanuel.

BTW: Rham Emmanuel has Palin's apology right here:
