Obviously Old Rocks is right about global warming causing harm and hunger to the poor around the world. just not by the mechanics that he proposes.

Soon, we'll be invading countries for their fertile crop-growing acreage.

    NO BLOOD FOR CORN!

First and foremost, from the beginning, I thought the use of food crops as fuel to be immoral. So quit trying to put words into my mouth. Second, ethenol can be had from waste, but a more efficient use would be making a diesel substitute. And the use of algea on municipal sewage to create a diesel substitute.

So, Ian, don't be putting words in my mouth. Not needed. I will say enough to raise your silly hackles without you making anything up.

Add me to the list of enviro-terrorists. Today we start cutting 500 acres of pine in central AL, so tomorrow, there will be more CO2 and more carbon in the atmosphere.

Screw the world, Mini's getting paid :)

So you are cutting a bunch of plantation pecker poles. Being plantation trees, unless they replace them with a subdivision, they will be planted again, and the carbon from them will be cyclic, nothing to worry about.
