So Faux News is pushing this non-issue hard the last few days, the idea of 'sanctuary cities' and how bad they are evidently, even though they are found all over the country including the south.

There are many churches that have declared themselves 'sanctuary churches' where they will take in illegal immigrants and not allow the authorities to have them.

Ah yes the conundrum becomes obvious doesn't it. Kristians want to be able to provide 'sanctuary' but coocoo-con-media is demonizing sanctuary. Another conservative pretzel with extra salt. Can you deny sales of pretzels to gay people?

It's interesting that the crowd that can't shut up about states' rights to the point they endorse nullification and an imagined right of secession can also be such zealous promoters of the federal government having the supreme power to crack down on sanctuary cities.

Sanctuary!

"Sanctuary Cities" have little to nothing to do with states' rights. :slap:

They are raging hypocrites.

I wonder if trump will hire Sandman type police to hunt down 'runners' or illegal aliens.

HEY! That's MISTER raging hypocrite to you, bub. :slap:

It must be convenient for nearly 140 cities across the US to declare themselves immune to Federal immigration law. What if cities started declaring themselves sanctuaries from gay people? Hmm? You wouldn't be so supportive then, would you? If discrimination is against the law, then illegal immigration should be too.

Lets add a little salt to that pretzel, shall we?

It turns out that most of the illegal immigrants were legal migrants with work visas. The reason they were hired was due to cheap labor by businesses and corporations. To get an idea of how cheap, take a look at this article:
Zuckerberg Ally H1-B Advocate Laid-off Americans Don t Work Hard Enough - Breitbart

See the inter-relationship of immigration and the right?

Businesses want them for cheap labor so they bring them over. When their work visas expire, they are let go instead of 'renewed'.so the worker either leaves or try to stay.

Churches provide sanctuary for them until they can get documents to work legally again. They end up working jobs that may not meet their skill level all in hopes of gaining citizenship.

Then there is the criminal element that exist in every population. Although small, Trump followers focus on them and use them as the poster child of the immigration issue.

So where are the lefties in this problem?

Trump maybe the spark that blows up the GOP establishment. So lefties, handle with care!

Simply have president Trump withhold all aid to these cities that are full of murders, rapists, robbers, and all Illegal aliens! Church want to protect them, simply TAX that church, as we have seen a presidential E.O. has the weight of law, and even when challenged and the president found to have made Unconstitutional policy, he simply ignores it. With HIM controlling the domestic police, and our military, who there will face off against him?

I say go get them. I have no moral conundrum.

It is kind of Hard to get the Catholic church. We caught hell getting the pedophiles from them, remember? ...And we still don't have all of them!!

You are giving executive orders far too much power than they actually and have. If anything, they set policy within the executive branch and does not allow the executive branch to supercede its constitutional authority.

Of course, he could lock down churches and stop giving tax dollars to the sanctuary cities since Congress has written law that allows Him to do that

Unfortunately I'm not giving him too much power as his REGULATIONS such as performed by the EPA, SEC, FAA and others are DEEMED law, without Congressional approval!

On the other hand, a series of executive orders from the next president could virtually wipe out the Obama presidency.

We live in hope.

And the one after can do the same. The Democrats in Congress can all say what the Republicans said as soon as Obama took office. We won't allow anything to pass.

The Democrats just have to say the same and deny any action for any Republican president or legislation.

See where this leads. You don't get to control the world by childish tantrum. Sorry.

Calif. Cold Case Cracks Open; Illegal Immigrant Suspected of 1997 Killing

The Washington Times ^ | 7/11 | Kellan Howell
An illegal immigrant from Mexico, serving time in a federal prison for unlawfully reentering the U.S., will appear before a judge next week over his alleged involvement in the killing of a homeless woman 18 years ago in California. On Aug. 16, 1997, Linda Louise Archer, 43, was beaten to death in her campsite off Highway 101 near Castillo Street, Fox News reported Saturday. The Santa Barbara Police Department announced Thursday that the suspected killer in the cold case, Manuel Salmeron Manzanares, 36, was arrested on suspicion of murder last month upon his release from federal custody. DNA evidence submitted...

Hire? I'm sure he can get millions of volunteers after what we've seen from the leftist around here.
