Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson has been set straight on Thanksgiving comfort food.
"The 700 Club" founder showed a clip of Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday. Robertson's host, Kristi Watts, asked what dish the former secretary of state had to have on Thanksgiving. Rice replied macaroni and cheese.
Watts reacted enthusiastically, adding "Sister, that is my dish..."
Appearing perplexed, Robertson asked Watts, who is black, of the women's shared enthusiasm for mac `n' cheese, "Is that a black thing?"
Watts replied "It is a black thing Pat. ...The world needs to get on board." The two laughed about it.

Robertson went on to say he'd never had it. WTF

Well Robertson, a conservative hero, blamed 9/11 on abortion and homosexuality.

Gosh..you can't help but love the old coot.

I'd say mac and cheese is more stereotypically a white person's dish. There is of course the southern comfort exception.

I do not understand why people buy boxed premixes to make macaroni and cheese.

You can make the real thing in about an hour.

It's cheaper and actually tastes good, too.

Is it cheaper, really? If you buy that cheap bland supermarket cheese it doesn't taste very good.

An exception to this is when you add that cheap bland supermarket cheese to the boxed stuff. Then it tastes really good.
