Robert Gibbs Says Liberal Critics of President Obama Should Stop Doing So Many Drugs

Obama's gonna need a bigger bus.

Naw, he's got a boat load of them he got cheap from NO.

Just a little water damage is all.

It's not really "news" that Obama is keeping with Bush's policies. Everyone, expect the kool aid drinking left knew that he was. it's sad though that it's taken 2 years for them to see this.

Wrong. The only ones drinking the Obama kool-aid were party loyalist Democrats, not "the left". Many of "the left" didn't vote for him, having seen clearly that his would be a 'Republican Lite' version of leadership, having said revealing statements such as Afghanistan being the "right" war, calling Joe Lieberman his mentor, voting to grant immunity to the telecoms while he was a Senator, etc.

who did the left want?

Why is that "good"? Is it "good" because his failure (and keep in mind that failing means EVERYONE LOSES) is "good" for....who, exactly? Your party? Your *side*?

Does anyone still wonder why this country's swirling like a turd in the toilet??

No. His failure is good for the America. It is good for this country. His policies have been tried in Europe and other socialist workers paradises. They bring nothing but high taxes, misery and death.
I do not want to see America experience high taxes, misery and death. Therefore I want him to fail. Utterly. Completely. So completely that for 20 years anytime anyone proposes something even remotely like what Obama has pushed the only comment necessary was "Obama tried that". That ought to end any further discussion, the absurdity and stupidity of the idea speaking for itself.

Have you been asleep or simply not paying attention?

Obama has basically continued Bush's policies and for that has been reviled and demonized by the same gang of knuckle-draggers who praised Bush for them.

I see you've bought into the "socialist" meme. Enjoy that kool-aid.
I suspect you have brain damage.
Which Bush policies are you referring to? Do you mean the ones of Bush's first term? The ones that decimated al Qaeda, unseated Saddam Hussein, won the Iraq War, threw out the Taliban, and restored economic prosperity? Or do you mean the ones of his second term when he had to work with Democrats? These include creeping socialism in the prescription drug benefit, No Child Left Behind, fatuous stimulus bills that utterly failed, and extending TARP to the auto makers without COngressional authorization?
If you mean the latter then you are perfectly right. Of course Obama had to double down on Bush's failed policies, adding others on the Democratic Party agenda.
Yes all of those are poison for America. He needs to fail.
Fortunately Obama and the congressional dems are doing a good enough job forming a circular firing squad that they make the job easy for the GOP.

Ralph Nader. Only because Stalin is dead.

who did the left want?

This lefty wanted a true representative of the People, not another war-favoring corporate shill like McCain and Obama - Ralph Nader got my vote.

While I think your getting to the fact the independents voted for Obama, to say that many of the left did not vote for him seems to me a bit naive.

IMO though, I think a lot of people liked his approach of following though in Afghanistan.

It's not naive; it's accurate. You've already revealed that your interpretation of what constitutes "the left" is erroneous. The progressives I know who were paying attention did not vote for Obama because of what he revealed early on in his campaign and while he was still a senator. Obama is too moderate, as most true lefties can clearly see. That's why it's ridiculous for the right-leaners to use, as an excuse for their hate, the fact that he's a 'socialist', a 'commie', etc. And yes, it's obviously being used as an excuse. Otherwise, it's the mark of sheer stupidity, since there is absolutely not a shred of truth to it, as evidenced by his corporate-favoring actions, over and over again.

what do you think of sharron angle?

Finally, fuck you, Mr. Press Secretariat, because you should be wooing the fuck out of us. You should be trying to get in our underwear and hand job us with a smile on your face instead of treating us like a convenient punching bag because you don't want to offend the precious "real America" or whatever bullshit phrase politicians want to use to isolate and alienate us.

:lol::lol:

Yep, shutting down off shore drilling for 6 months , until a court order squashed that noise, and blackmailing BP for $20B clearly were acts geared toward favoring corporations. LOL

Obama is a creation of the left, own him bitch.

But instead of throwing a sword into the balcony where the professional left is sitting, startling them and knocking over their goblets of wine, he's having Press Secretary Robert Gibbs question their sobriety, and sanity.

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.”

The press secretary dismissed the “professional left” in terms very similar to those used by their opponents on the ideological right, saying, “They will be satisfied when we have Canadian healthcare and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon. That’s not reality.”

Of those who complain that Obama caved to centrists on issues such as healthcare reform, Gibbs said: “They wouldn’t be satisfied if Dennis Kucinich was president.”

So if you disagree with Obama you are a crazy, racist drug addict now? :eusa_eh:

Labels, labels, labels.

Yes, and how 'bout that court order, huh? Gee, who's really running things? Looks like corporatist power reigns supreme, to me.

Ah, the old "blackmailing" canard. We sure don't want to infringe on BP's right to rake in billions despite fouling the Gulf for decades and destroying the livelhoods of hundreds in the region.

BTW, that 20 billion was mutually agreed upon and BP has yet to cough it up. But don't worry - BP will come out of all of this just fine. Can't say the same about the fishermen in the region, let alone the surviving (but poisoned) fish.

Good on ya for caring more about BP than your fellow citizens! What a patriot. :clap2:

You do Realize that it was 2 Court that Squashed him, But that did not stop him anyways. He just did it again, and so Far No court ruling. Just Shopping courts I guess lol.

The man could GIVE a FLYING FUCK what Anyone who is Not a registered Democrat Thinks. Period. No matter how big the majority, our Opinions matter not to him. It seems.

so angle is a nutball.. you wouldn't want her as a senator

and you voted for ralph nader? you really think america would be in better shape if nader were president?

No, I wouldn't want her as a senator and yes, I think America would be in better shape if Nader were president - but in order to become president, the power elite (corporatocracy) has to first be assured that the viable candidates will play ball (read: put their interests first and foremost) - and of course, this dumbed-down country buys into that rigged game and votes for the lesser of two evils serving the same master that isn't them.

Nader didn't have a chance. Not a snowball's chance in hell.
