How does a downhill skateboard run turn into this?

I remember my 1st downhill skateboard run. Oh, it was bad.

This was back before real skateboards, like roller skate trucks bolted to 1/2 a skateboard.

It was in Covington, Georgia, and the adults told me not to do it, but I did it anyway.

The hill was steep as hell, the trucks were loose, started mega-wobbling 2/3 of way down,

lost it and launched off and slid on my hip. Man that hurt. I have not forgotten that to this day
