Gas prices were at $1.35 a gallon here when Obama was elected back in November of 2008 so after nearly seven years of Obama as President gas prices are almost back to what they were when he was elected.

Yes and America was losing a million jobs a month back then . The trick has been to have lower prices of gas and oil without wrecking the economy as was the result of the Great Bush recession.

The point is right wing hacks were predicting $6 a gallon gas based on hatred of Obama alone instead of focusing on market and policy realities.

Most of you were predicting destruction of the U.S. economy because of what Obama was doing or not doing. Eat your crow if you were one of them. It will be interesting to go back and see who all the false prophets were and know to not pay attention to anything that is predicted out of hatred.

According to Gas Buddy the price was $2.2390. But three week before that it was at 3.499. too. It did dip to below 2.00 before January and his first inauguration but with million of Americans losing their jobs and not driving.....what do you expect.

Didn't Obama haters know about 'fracking happening' when predicting the destruction of the U.S. Economy because of Obama driving gas prices up deliberately because he hates America and wants to destroy it.

Obama did not interfere with fracking and no more fracking would have occurred under a Republican Admin because the cost of fracking is not providing a return on investment.

Many fracking firms are pulling up stakes and abandoning operations until the price of oil goes up. Higher fuel standards and conservation will have a bigger long term effect on lower energy costs for consumers.

Obama said he didn't have a problem with $5 gas, but wanted the price to rise slowly. This has nothing to do with rejecting the Keystone pipeline. Obama also said that energy costs would necessarily skyrocket as a result of his regulations. Will you be defending him when new regulations cause energy bills and the price of gas to break the family budget?

What do you think Obama did that is causing the price to drop? Do you seriously think he is responsible? Government increases costs by adding more taxes. Only way they can lower cost is to reduce the taxes and that just doesn't happen. Otherwise, it's supply and demand and a few other factors that Obama can't control. We are at the mercy of the oil countries since liberals don't want us to be independent.

Obama has given out more exploration permits than any other president. I recently read that his policies have led to oil/gas production that is equal to finding an entire Iraq.

The Keystone disaster shows that Obama is not in the hip pocket of the Koch's.

Obama "policies" led to a decline of oil and natural gas production on lands controlled by the Federal Government. The truth is that we've had a surge in oil and natural gas production DESPITE Barack Obama's policies because the majority of that production took place on either private land or land controlled by States.

Barack Obama was the guy calling for $6 a gallon gasoline as the thing that we needed to "fix" our dependency on oil. For you to now declare that HE is responsible for lower prices is laughable!
