Riding Mass Transit Is Like Inviting 30 Random Hitchhikers Into Your Car

You have to start somewhere instead of blaming the victim. Its a chemical imbalance that disorders the thinking and causes hallucinations. What is causing the chemical imbalance?. Figure that out and you figure out where to start.

So because they are sick they should be allowed to fill up 1/3 of a subway car with their shit?

Get them off the train, then give government the ability to evaluate them and if needed detain them and treat them.
Its either that or burn them at the stake as witches like what used to happen when people were mentally ill.

argumentum ad absurdum.

There is no reason to let them take up that much space on an active subway train during rush hour. The police should do their job and get them the hell off the train. I pay a fare and support transit with my tolls and taxes to get me from point A to point B, not to house the homeless and make my commute a pain in the ass.

We are not "punishing" them for being homeless, we are making them follow the same rules we have to, i.e. don't freaking live in a subway car.
This attitude is symptomatic of whites. Solve the human problem before you start whining about being inconvenienced.

it has nothing to do with race. it has to do with following the rules. One guy or two huddled in the corner with their stuff sleeping isn't even a bother, but sprawling over a car and taking over, and no one doing anything about it is a big problem.

They want us to take the subway, but can't keep it safe or clean because they feel bad for the homeless guy? So they leave him alone, piss us all off, make us all made at the homeless guy, and get to ignore the problem by pretending to be considerate and compassionate.

Get the guy out of the fucking car, and do something about it.

"..and no one doing anything about it is a big problem"

I agree its a big problem. However, I am sufficiently educated enough to know that a chemical imbalance can occur in anyones brain and tip them over the edge. Dont treat the symptom which whites are famous for. Treat the actual problem.

It seems also like they need more security on the subway.
Security isnt the answer. If they have security on the subway they will simply go somewhere else and cause a problem.

Yea and take their junk with them.
So your solution is to move the problem elsewhere?

Wasn't that the point of the thread? All that junk on the train?

I assume the "elsewhere" you are talking about is not elsewhere on a subway train.

yammering about it over and over doesn't get them off the damn subway trains.

So i should just accept the smell and the threat of disease as well as physical attack because anything else would be "blaming the victim"?

A question, does the homeless person have a right to occupy a subway car with all their belongings that overrides my right to get the service I pay for?

I thought the point was that Rudy G was a great leader for NY and his absence is the reason mentally ill people are taking up residence in places that are inconvenient to people who are not mentally ill.

Rudy G had New York on a solid path to join civilization. Then Democrats took back control.

Most of these people are skitsos. When the powers that be have no concern for them this is what occurs.

How do you help them? The best thing to do would be to force them into treatment, and make sure they take their meds, but most municipalities put the kibosh on that, and homeless advocates scream that it is inhumane.

Blame socialism
The issue boils down to the common factor that too many have been trained to not judge and keep their mouth shut. In a better day those homeless would have been escorted away to the city limit with an ass kick.

The subways have gotten worse. Police don't kick off homeless people that sprawl their crap throughout the car.

One guy sleeping in the corner was usually dealable, but now they are emboldened to take up 1/4-1/3 of the car.

And that's why you can't let one guy sleep in the car. If one can do it, so can more. It's just a matter of time before the entire car/train is a moving shelter.

It's nationwide.

About once a month I use a city bus to get to the airport. Few paying customers; the municipality generously provides free passes for the "indigent" (whether legal citizens or not). Many spend their entire day riding on the buses to keep warm and mooch from the occasional paying customers.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though! The city recently outlawed pitching of tents and cooking on city buses.

I guess that's progress.

w..... wa.... wait wut?

Pitching a tent, and cooking on a city bus? This is a real thing? I would never have even considered this....

Usually that was during off hours, and the guy knew to stay in the corner and not make a commotion. This level of detente held from the mid 1990's to around 2016 or so, when DiBlasio either told NYPD to cut back enforcement, or NYPD got the message and did it themselves.

Take away the booze and drug addicts and most the problem solved IMO. They’re the authors of their own misfortune and we’re supposed to coddle them by allowing camping out in city transit trains?

Soon the ACLU will be insisting they be allowed to start campfires to keep warm and toast up them s’mores.

I have been homeless, wont explain but when it was summer in my mis-spent yute.

Slept on an all night bus because it was cool and no gnats flying around.

One month later I had joined the Army.

Every day in boot camp I would think about riding on that danged bus that night so hungry I could eat a road kill dog. Got excited when I went through a dumpster and found an unopened box of Vienna Sausage cans. Ate good that evening as the sun went down.

I took responsibility for myself that night on that bus, and have never regretted it.
