I actually read this interesting article recently about how conservatives and liberals are conservatives and liberals because different hemispheres of their brain are more dominant (like a left-handed or a right-handed person) and one of the consequences of this is that conservatives tend to be more fear and focus oriented and liberals tend to be more creative. There's always been the notion that conservatives do not understand satire and largely cannot do humor. I used to think that was untrue but after reading your joke, I'm giving it some consideration.
