Republicans gave us all this Debt, and Now they Don't want to pay for it.

It's not spin, it's a fact.
Don't be such a useful idiot that you can't see the real problem is government overspending, by both parties, over a period of decades.

F'n fool.

So while what Banker says is true, it's just not complete.

Trump gave us 25% of our total debt in just 4 years with countless big time spending bills and stimulus packages, proposing and signing them all throughout his presidency. In addition Trump repeatedly asked for even more spending and stimulus. AND Trump's spending bills were long term bills, meaning they had spending proposals that continued for years after his presidency.

Now, in 2023 all the republicans that voted for all those spending bills, suddenly do not want to pay for them.

This is the epitome of "playing politics" The republicans always do this.

Trump's 2017 $4.7 T Tax cut and jobs act has spending appropriations all the way out to 2029. The Republicans did that, now they don;t want to pay for it, and want to shut down the government.

Trump and the GOP passed these spending bills pre-covid, in 2017 and 2019.

Trump ramped the annual US deficit from $587B/yr in 2016, to $987B/yr in 2019, to $3.1T/yr in 2020.
Biden has lowered the annual deficit from Trump's massive $3+T/yr to $1.3T/yr, a big drop.

The debt is from Trump and his policies and it started pre-covid. They are longterm spending policies that cost the US $trillions over several years out to 2029. The republicans that all voted for this spending are now trying to not pay for it, playing politics per usual.

The republicans always pull crap like this.

Who controlled congress those last two years?

Yes, Trump was a gutless pussy for not vetoing those bloated budgets and succubus splurges, but he also had all of your team as willing accomplices, Wanker.

Are we running up the debt under Biden? Yes.
Did we run up the debt under Trump? Yes.
Did we run up the debt under Obama? Yes.
Did we run up the debt under Bush2? Yes.
Did we run up the debt under Clinton? Yes.
Did we run up the debt under Bush1? Yes.
Did we run up the debt under Reagan? Yes.

It's not a party problem, it's a fed-gov problem.

Translation:

Bankers facts are too harsh and you can't accept them.

Everything I posted is fact, trump ramped up the debt and deficit massively and now the republicans don;t want to pay for all those spending bills they proposed and voted for.
You would not know a fact if it handed you a business card.

Why do democrats refuse to even talk about cutting spending?

They also want to blame the Democrats for the entire debt and pretend that dumbass Donnie Dangerously was a fiscal conservative.
We never claimed President Trump was fiscally conservative, but at least he spent the money well and gave us a great economy.

Biden on the other hand has given us $5 gas and exploding inflation, and a new stupid war.

Sure thing. He was put in as a pinch runner on third and his base thought he hit a triple.

The covid shutdown caused the inflation causing bubble in the oil patch, leading to steep rising prices across the board in 2021. The war in Ukraine was already going on. Biden just shored up Nato.

yes but we ran more debt because of the republicans.

Reagan blew up our deficit and started the era of big deficits, and turned the US into a net debtor from a creditor.
Bush Inherited a balanced budget and projected surplus then blew up the economy in a massive Bush crash
Trump inherited only a $587B/yr deficit from Obama and he blew it up to $3+T, and Trump gave us 25% of our total debt.

The GOP own this debt.

Clinton had a balanced budget, Obama inherited the Bush crash and lowere the deficit to $587B/yr (Trump blew that up), Biden has lowered the massive Trump deficit from $3.1T to $1.3T/yr.

The GOP caused this debt and they own it. Our debt is mainly from failed GOP big spending and big tax cuts and wars.

Republicans gave us all this Debt, and Now they Don't want to pay for it.

Obvious liar posts obviously lying thread headline. Why? Because that’s what libtards do.
I challenge you to factually refute all the points I made.

you can't do it. You lose.

Out of an abundant sense of idle curiosity, how does this thread and the wholly dishonest thread headline comport with the Board’s clean start rule?

Should this crap thread be anywhere but the basement?

The issue when we talk about this issue, we get short sensationalism and not long windy talks about it. Something that people of power should be doing. And never do. We have two polarizing views pulling on each other from opposite ends while the sides are in cahoots with each other at the same time.
