Okay...how much of the electorate doesn't DOES NOT belong to either of the two big parties?Being as Avery large segment of the population are centralist, it makes sense. Particularly when both parties keep moving further and further from the center.

What about states with open primaries? No party affiliation is stated on the registration card. Voters pick which primary they want to vote in on primary day.
