    And they were correct.

Someone should teach you the foolishness of making an argument based solely on your own assumption that everyone holds your worldview.

Yup, it it had been left up to the republican party, there would be no social security, no medicare. and the disadvantaged in America would go without medial insurance in their old age and would probably have to work until they drop.

And you are proud of that? Obama is basically mirroring the efforts of FDR after Hoover nearly destroyed this nation. You guys are like parrots. You repeat the same thing over and over until you begin believing. If Nixon had not lost in JFK, it is fairly unlikely schools would have been desegregated and busing would have never been seen. And you are proud of that?

Once again, you assume that because YOU think those things are wonderful, that means that they objectively are and/or that everyone else agrees with you.

Am I proud of the fact that I support empowering people to live independent of government "charity"? Sure. Are YOU proud of creating a permanent underclass of helpless dependents who can't do any more for themselves than hold a hand out? Are you proud of having bankrupted our nation and mortgaged our grandchildren's financial futures in order to give yourself a warm fuzzy over how "nice" you are? I can build a much stronger causation line for tracking the ills of society to incessant leftist "do-gooding" than you can to how awful the world MIGHT have been, so from where I sit, YOU have more to be ashamed of than I do.

You guys are like parrots. "The world is so much better for our plans simply because I say it is! You other guys are just MEAN!" You're not even parrots. You're immature, emotionally retarded parrots.

Do me a favor Bagger. When you retire, if you aren't already, please mail you SS check back to the government each month. Please don't use the streets or roads. Please don't use public water. Please don't send your children the public school. You need to take one for the Country. Sacrifice everything that government is doing for you. Put that money back into the general fund! Go back and read how Herbert Hoover waited for the "trickle down" for the poor during recession. That sound familar? Yup, your gipper wanted to see trickle down, but the only thing that trickled was his memory when he signed off on illegally helping the contras. You are rediculous...

Blah blah blah de fucking blah red herring blah blah.

Social Security is a steaming pile of bankrupt shit that likely won't even exist by the time I retire, and whether or not I accept back the money the government forcibly took from MY earnings will not change that fact.

Nothing about this thread has jack shit to do with roads and public utilities, so that little strawman is officially sneered at and ignored.

I already don't send my children to public school because they ALSO are steaming piles of shit not worthy of teaching doggie obedience, let alone teaching my beloved offspring. What, you thought you were hurting me by denying me the "benefits" of your leftist-fucked school system? Puhleeze.

I love the idea that the only other thing that can be done with the massive taxes our bloated, oversocialized government steals from people is to give it to some OTHER branch of government, rather than . . . hold onto your seat . . . letting people use it to take care of themselves.

I am completely confident that what you know about Iran/Contra would fit in a gnat's ear. You have already demonstrated that your knowledge of economics in general, let alone trickle down economics, certainly would.

Miss taking your meds this morning, JimH52? You seem a bit tense and unsure of your history.

Busing? Again? My god I walked about a mile to Jr high School, and walked home. The only time we had school off for snow was if there was over 2 ft over the weekend or 1 ft overnight.
Today I live in a small village and the school (K-12) is at one end of the village. Takes the Bus an hour to do all the pickups. I can walk from one end to the other in 45 minutes. And I'm slow. We are spoiled. Or at least our kids are.
