All the intel was made available to them, so if they just took his word for it, they were remiss in their duties. Biden, Kerry and Clinton all stood up in the Senate, claimed they had reviewed the intel - records show they hadn't - and supported the war. The Democrats weren't fooled, they were just irresponsible, opportunistic politicians who were more interested in what was good for their careers than what was good for the country. However, if you go back to the 2000 election campaign, Al Gore campaigned hard for regime change in Iraq and Bush didn't, so the Democrats were predisposed to go after Saddam even before 911.Chaney cherry picked what evidence they were given. Some of it was bad.No, that's the lie. Congress was given access to all the intel and leading Democrats were so eager to seem tough on security after 911 they lined up to be counted as for the war on Iraq. It turned out there were no wmd's and that's when these dim Dems began claiming "we was lied to" how could that have been when all the intel was available to them.Oh brother the spin is back.Of course as usual all your facts are wrong. All the intel on Iraq was made available to all the members of Congress and Kerry, Biden and Clinton were among the strongest advocates of the war. The Israeli government, however, was not. Sharon was the PM at the time and he publicly urged Bush not to invade.Sure, but please consider this. Ever since trump admitted bush lied us into Iraq and we all understand what a horrible decision that was now, keep in mind Israel was on board the entire time and even one of Bush's biggest defenders. It even got democratic Jew Lieberman to side with Republicans. Not in general and not just "radical Christians" whatever that means, the ratio is 4 - 1 that Americans support Israel over the Palestinians.
So while 3 out of 4 prefer Jews to Muslims, 3 out of 4 do not agree with Israel policies.
Israel will be on board with us if the GOP start a war with Iran. In fact they've been pushing for it for 16 years. Do 3 out of 4 Americans agree?
This reminds me of the time before bush lied us into Iraq. Today you say "Democrats voted for it" well that's just playing politics. You know the gop conned the world and not even convincingly. That's why even Canada didn't go along. So obvious now.
Well I can't wait to see where the GOP war on terror takes us
To your tiny racist mind, this may be about Jews and Muslims, but to 4 out of 5 Americans it about choosing between a liberal democracy, Israel, and the cluster of terrorist groups that make up the leaderships of the Palestinians.
Israel may have to go to war with Iran, but it is capable of destroying what targets it must without any help from the US, however, Congress has already passed legislation promising economic, diplomatic and logistical support for Israel if it does attack Iran. The American people will want to keep the US out of the fighting if possible but will stoutly support the Israelis in their efforts. Unlike America's other important allies, Israel has never asked the US to risk the lives of its soldiers in its defense.
No, Congress was given lies. Ask trump. There were no wmd's dummy
They took his word just like we all did. Big mistake.
But I agree they voted for it to seem tough on terror. I remember how much bush played that card. If Democrats didn't sign they weren't supporting the troops.
