Does it matter to anyone that California wasn't a slave state?
California owes reparations to people who built the roads to communities they were not allowed to live in by California law.California should fix its roads before spending money on reparations.
Facts...Reparations are not just for slavery. This doesn't seem to register in the racist white mind and its purposeful.Meh....facts.
They are not broken. They are working exactly like the Democrats who run California intended them to.The money would be better spent on fixing California's broken inner-city public schools.
Doesn't matter "Why" you want reparations. The problem is the "How"? You want money printed and handed out because you're black. You actually think it's just that simple. Which speaks to the simplicity of your thought process.Facts...Reparations are not just for slavery. This doesn't seem to register in the racist white mind and its purposeful.
That’s what Civil Rights did, dismantle the racial hierarchy. You seem to think that dismantling the racial hierarchy means you don’t need to earn your position. Everyone, still has to earn their position even white people. You are already equal under the law. What you want is special privileges and no amount will ever be enough for the grievance class.….,” and even during and after the civil rights era no policies were adopted to dismantle the racial hierarchy that already existed.”
-Jonathan Kaplan and Andrew Valls
Name one thing that a white person can do today that you can't?“Racial inequality in the United States today may, ultimately, be based on slavery, but it is also based on the failure of the country to take effective steps since slavery to undermine the structural racial inequality that slavery put in place. From the latter part of the nineteenth century through the first half of the twentieth century, the Jim Crow system continued to keep Blacks “in their place,” and even during and after the civil rights era no policies were adopted to dismantle the racial hierarchy that already existed.”

“It will end up costing the U.S. economy as much as $1 trillion between now and 2028 for the nation to maintain its longstanding black-white racial wealth gap, according to a report released this month from the global consultancy firm McKinsey & Company. That will be roughly 4 percent of the United States GDP in 2028—just the conservative view, assuming that the wealth growth rates of African Americans will outpace white wealth growth at its current clip of 3 percent to .8 percent annually, said McKinsey.Name one thing that a white person can do today that you can't?
There is no valid reason for blacks to expect reparations. For those who don’t live in California, there’s no valid reason to oppose reparations – except for fear, willful ignorance, and racism.
Equal wealth? Are you a communist? There are poor whites too. Earn your paycheck, don’t expect equal pay for unequal qualifications and skills.“It will end up costing the U.S. economy as much as $1 trillion between now and 2028 for the nation to maintain its longstanding black-white racial wealth gap, according to a report released this month from the global consultancy firm McKinsey & Company. If the gap widens, however, with white wealth growing at a faster rate than black wealth instead, it could end up costing the U.S. $1.5 trillion or 6percent of GDP according to the firm.”
One thing we can't do is have equal wealth in relation to our population as whites because of continuing white racism. Now stop asking stupid questions or asking me to show you shit. This sealioning is way past old.
IM2And some Whites get tired of your dishonest and deceitful approach to Race/Racial realities in the USA. Just like how you approached this reparations issue, once again.
Michigan's John Conyers had been a leading U. S. House of Rep's member among the group helping to try get a Reparations possibility, even to study, for the past several decades since the late 80s. Go read and it weep --then go research N'COBRA. Efforts fail flat on their face every time.
Yet, notice how you never came once running/hollering that "Reparations are coming, whether you like it or not" lol?? 1987!
You never hollered your nonsense, because you know it'll be another 50-60yrs before you Blacks ever see a program extending you any real reparations. And even at the point, it will be ONLY because the remaining Black people will be light-skinned. Yep. Which means they will be, half-White, which of course translates into... the USA society will have no problem with extending them reparations then.
It was tax-payer dollars which funded it.
Now... guess where 80-85% of the tax dollars came from??? White citizens! Which meant that The New Deal and SRA were benefits of tribalism, pal.
Those were not Black citizens' tax dollars keeping the coffers full of $$$ to fund programs and imperatives launched by The New Deal.

You didn't answer my question, all while presenting an some anecdote that leaves more questions than answers anything.“It will end up costing the U.S. economy as much as $1 trillion between now and 2028 for the nation to maintain its longstanding black-white racial wealth gap, according to a report released this month from the global consultancy firm McKinsey & Company. Why did you feel the need to put that in quotations?Like my question about Kamala Harris. How much does our "First Black" female Vice President get?
