Rep John Duncan: Permanent, Forever, Endless War In The Middle East Is Not Conservative...

Rep. John J. Duncan, Jr., in a speech Wednesday on the House of Representatives floor, quoted several prominent conservatives to help make the case that “there has been nothing conservative about our policy of permanent, forever, endless war in the Middle East.” In the speech, Duncan quotes, in turn, thought-provoking comments from Thomas Sowell, David Keene, Jon Utley, Peggy Noonan, and William F. Buckley, Jr.

Agreed;

I noticed yet another foaming at the mouth republican calling for more war in the middle east as the only answer to this most recent terror attack. The stupid fucker.

Sadly, Americans only know war. When's the last time their Government wasn't somewhere around the world bombing & killing? Can anyone remember that time?

Not trying to deflect from the question but has there ever been a time in mankind that people haven't been at war or fighting with each other?

We can change that. Americans need to demand an end to this Permanent War.

I'm not against what you're saying and I hate being so cynical but to be a global leader like we are and without the ability to control the actions of others I don't know how we do that.

Being a global leader does not require the ability to control the actions of others. We can have several global leaders each with different skills set that can influence, not control, nations across the world.

You are really thinking about being a global tyrant. . A global tyrant, a military unilateralist, is always trying to safeguard its position.

The ugly reality is, evil Globalist Elites send Americans' children off to die in wars just so they can get richer. The Elites don't send their own children to die. It has nothing to do with right & wrong. It's all about money & power.

Only the very few Globalist Elites benefit from Permanent War. Hopefully one day most Americans will come to realize that. Hopefully they'll stop sending their children into the meat grinder to die for nothing.

Endless war may not be a conservative thing. It's a neo-con thing.

We need an outside enemy to keep the peoples attention diverted from domestic pillaging.

After WWII it was communism. After our capitalists learned how to make money from communist countries we needed a new enemy. So we chose Islam. All we had to do was blindly support, and arm, Israel and there we go.

This ones easy to keep going. All we had to do was convince the population that MidEast oil is necessary for our well being. It's a little difficult keeping down alternatives. But we're doing it.

FDR made middle east oil necessary for the continued growth, well being of our economy, and national security.

We have had 75 years to find a backup plan.

Or isn't our economy and national security as important as continued profits for those invested in the fossil fuel industry?
