When did insurance become the be-all and end-all of well-being?
when 78 million people have no access to health care because they are uninsured and half of all bankruptcies result from unanticipated medical costs, it's a pretty significant problem.
The OP isn't quite accurate, either. What she ACTUALLY said was that she has confidence the alternatives to the big insurance companies will be SO GOOD by comparison that the big insurance companies won't be able to compete.
Isn't that what the right likes? Competition?
hmmmmmmmmmm
so where will the government buy this insurance.....form the current crop of those that sell it.....there isn't any competition being created then.....unless the us government gets into the health insurance business and they take the premiums and create an insurance fund that pays your claims.....yikes.....
if they do the latter and offer lower cost insurance they will need to cover the discount somehow .... let me guess payroll deduction from everyone no matter if you use it or not .....
so you will buy your health insurance from the government and they will process your claims......
