Reminder: How Mexico Treats ‘Undesirable’ Foreigners

Not like the spanish did, murder and rape and stealing gold of central and south america...

1 Spain (and later Mexico) destroys the meso-american civilizations causing the death and displacement of millions on natives.

Fast-forward to 1836-1846.

2 American settlers (and later the US government) steal half of Mexico's territory, invade and occupy the country causing the death of thousands of young Mexicans (soldiers and civilians alike).

Thousands of hispanic families had their farms, ranches, etc... confiscated and never got any kind of compensation... they lost their livelihood forever and several generations were condemned to a life of poverty... many of the descendants of those families can still be found throughout southern Texas, California, etc...

What do these two landgrabs described above have in common, Jihad?

They both caused death and human suffering. I don't have any problem condemning both...

How about you?? You point an accusing finger at Spain and Mexico, at latino Secessionist movements in the United States like Aztlan...

You criticise every landgrab carried out by others and those that may harm the territorial integrity of the US, but when the landgrab benefits America they magically become "kosher".

Did you read the same history books I did? Texas fought for independence from Mexico. All of their citizens, whites and natives alike fought for independence. And yeah, many of their descendants can still be found in Texas, some of them still on their ranches that they've owned for generations.

During the Mexican American War, we took over ALL of Mexico and then gave it back. How heartless of us? The Mexican soldiers were so brave they ran and left Mexico city in the hands of children who defended it until they were over run by the American soldiers.

And BTW, ever hear of the Gadsden purchase?
