Remember when model planes & cars came in boxes called "Revell"? This engineering school in Britain just smashed the world land speed record for a model car, from 287mph to an incredible 533.1mph! The envelope for rocket & jet powered models keeps getting stretched every year. The world speed record for a jet powered model aircraft was set last year by a German engineer: 580+ mph. How soon will models that'll fit in the back of a minivan, be breaking the sound barrier?
