Lost
Today I rented Django Unchained (not impressed, but I did chuckle now and then...and gasp at other times), Cloud Atlas (sucked big hairy ones), Flight (I liked that one).

I saw part of 'The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit'--Gregory Peck--set in the early 50's.

He had to tell his wife he had a liason in Italy during WW2 and had a son.

Certain that this film was high drama for that time. His wife ran out of the house and threw herself on the ground, drove off in the car and ran out of gas. Then they made arrangements to send money to the son.

If John Grisham doesn't write a new book and then have it made into a film--I don't know if I will see another film.

It is possible that I might see the 'Saving Mr. Banks'--the Tom Hanks film --story behind the Disney version of Mary Poppins.

He has another one--might be able to see that.

I looked over the list of Oscar contenders--gripping dramas.

I might see 'Jobs'/Ashton Kutcher.

On TV, the latest that were new to me were:

The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond - a screenplay by Tennessee Williams which had never been performed before that movie. I bought the CD and have watched it several times.

The Importance of Being Earnest

I saw part of one, something about Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, but went to sleep before it was over.

I caught the Bridget Jones movies on TV as well.

After having read the trilogy, I saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on TV

I love the big screen, but movies here tend to play to the younger crowd. I don't think Loss of a Teardrop Diamond even came here. I particularly liked it. Everyone I know is from some work by Tennessee Williams.

last night my choices were--'The Carlita White Story'/Liftetime

or
CNN --'The Atlanta Child Murders'--documentary that has aired about 10,000x.

I spent most of the evening with the TV muted. Staring at Wayne Williams---serving 2 life sentences for Atlanta Child Murders--23 in 1981 now in his 50's. Still says he didn't do it.

Recent movies I've seen:

Iron Man 3 = Okay
Star Trek Into Darkness = appalling
Man of Steel = horrible
Wolverine=good

I am confused...how did you just see Django? I know its not in theaters anymore and I have not seen it offered on DVD or maybe pay per view?

This week was Mob Week on tv, so I watched all The Godfathers and Scarface. I watched The Thing (2011) just a bit ago. It was ok, but I like the one with Kurt Russell better.

I watched Scarface for the 50th time today.

A movie I highly recommend for you Gracie, is Warrior, if you have not already seen it. It is excellent!

Casino is good too. I am assuming you've seen it?

I like mob movies. Can't remember the name of it, but the one that was about the Flamingo and Annette Benning played in it. When the mob decided to build the first BIG casino. Good flick.

I think the last movie I saw was Star Trek 2.

I just started nights tonight. So slow!! I'm sure I'll be watching a lot of movies and TV shows from here on out.

I'd like to see Boys From Brazil again. It's been a long time. Oh, and Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte!
