Reality Check On Legalization

In California, any 18 year old can get a medical marijuana card and walk around stoned 24 hours a day. Given the increasing amounts of THC contained in available variants, are we not giving license to these young people to ruin their lives? The harmful effect of these drugs on developing brains is well established. What ever happened to "A mind is a beautiful thing to waste?"

i have already posted a study about Medical Pot in Cal from 96 till now in a few other Pot threads...none of the things they predicted would happen....have happened...Pot has always been just about legal here since the late 80's.....they said the rise in smoking has been nothing like predicted....

How does one get a medical Marijuana card? Through a Medical Doctor?? Are these doctors just prescribing it to anyone? And if there are studies that truly do say it harms the mind's growth at 18, (like to see those studies if you have a link), then the medical doctors should know this and not prescribe it as the form of pain relief or nausea relief to those that are 18.

And that race car driver, should have never been in a car if he was prescribed medical marijuana....that's illegal, and if he wasn't prescribed MJ, then that too was illegal....
