Real models that Blacks should be looking up too

Mathew, shootspeeders, and Lonestar Logic should look up to Thomas Jefferson, Adam Smith, and Lincoln - you know, that whole man was created equal thing.

There are some black people that racist posters on this form should emulate as well like MLK Jr., Jefferson Douglas, just to name a couple.

Jefferson was a slave owner at the time, do you think he meant them when he said we were all created equal? And what about women?

The fact is when he wrote that he really meant that "all free, property-owning males are created equal".

Equality is hard to define because its meaning keeps changing. Jefferson's restrictive definition, that "people are of equal moral worth, and as such deserve equal treatment under the law", made distinctions for free men vs. slaves, men vs. women, property owners vs. debtors, etc....

So then the Declaration of Independence got that part wrong? Not all men were created equal?

You have to understand the mindset of Jefferson at the time he wrote it. He had about 200 slaves at the time. Do you think he was including them?

those two play into the victimhood trap and are disqualified

How so?

Both are examples of black Americans rising to the highest levels of our society

The OP was trying to list those who have done GOOD things.

Not lie, or brainswash, racebait, coverup, or destroy the country.

That's only your interpretation and the interpretation of people who have the same mindset as you, of the aforementioned people. Thus it's pretty invalid to me...........

As I have said 1000 times - it isn't the skin, it isn't the brain - there is no genetic reason for blacks to do any less better than whites.
It is the culture.
In every study done where they looked at the success/failure rate of blacks and whites - when you place them in equal demographics - they fare precisely the same. There is no superior or inferior race.
There is however, a superior and inferior culture.

What "culture" are you referring to? The "culture" that produced greats like Duke Ellington, Langston Hughes, W.E.B. DuBoise, Clarence Thomas, Sowell, Thurgood Marshall, Ben Carson, Cory Booker, Eric Holder, J.C. Watts, Msgr. John Sanders, Miles Davis, Tony Brown, Berry Gordy, Russell Simmons, John H. Johnson, etc. ?

Ok Phoenix....you are being too logical.....lol!

Nigeria: 25-Year-Old Nigerian Invents Electricity Generating Football

By Isiaka Wakili, 17 August 2013

allAfrica.com: Nigeria: 25-Year-Old Nigerian Invents Electricity Generating Football

Jessica Mathew, a 25-year-old Nigerian, from Edo State, yesterday presented an electricity generating football and skipping rope she invented to President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House in Abuja.

The presentation earned Jessica an appointment as a soccer ambassador. The soccer ball, as demonstrated by Jessica, could generate three hours of electricity after 30 minutes of play and could store power for three days.

She said, the electricity generated by the ball could be used as electricity source to power lighting points and household equipments, adding that the airless football when not in use, could last for one-and-half years before replacement.

Jessica, a graduate of Psychology and Economics from Havard University, United States, said she taught herself Electrical and Mechanical Engineering because she was keenly interested in it.

Roberts holds eleven patents for electronic devices and is the author of papers on electromagnetism. optics, and microwaves. Louis Roberts served as Director of Research for Microwave Associates from 1950 to the present. He is also the Director of Energy and Environment at the Transportation System Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, from 1977 to the present. The Transportation System Center, as part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, develops energy conservation practices for the transportation industries. Currently, transportation accounts for over half of the United State's consumption of petroleum. However, the Energy Conservation Policy Act requires the transportation sector to reduce fuel consumption in all types of vehicles.

If a black child considers him self as an American and black secound then the world is open to him. Poor boy makes good is common, and race is only a barrier if he makes it one.

I don't find any of them truly remarkable. Most have proven to be disgusting. I am VERY disappointed in the likes of Condi, Cosby, Oprah etc. Most black actors, sports figures and musicians are just thugs. Or Muslimes. Or adulterers. Or criminals. Or reparation retards. Jackson, Sharpton and the Husseins are especially repulsive. Frauds like Colin Powell, Maya Angelou, Michaels Jordan, Jackson and Steele, Iyanla... Freakshows like Whoopi and Cynthia McKinney... Even Will Smith is a tax cheat, divorced playa who had a chance to go to college but didn't. He would rather "rap". Ugh.
The only black person I know and respect is Ben Carson but he probably has some kind of skeleton, too. I give props where/when props are due no matter the color...

Sure you do.:eusa_liar: First of all where did you hear that Will Smith cheated on his taxes? He as been an advocate of the "Buffett Rule" in support of those who earn in excess of 1 million being taxed at a 30% rate. In his own words "America has been good to me"...look it up.

Secondly, where did you find the time to poll every black athlete, musician and actor and determine that "most are thugs?"

As far as Colin Powell being a "fraud", what branch of this military did you serve this country in? And ROTC does not count.

You're right as most today seem to come off as thugs. Lets try to change that.

It's going to take a lot more than a few good examples. They have to change their thinking and get off the thug/loser/entitlement/reparations mentality. I think it's impossible. Most are just not that smart.
