You are wasting your time if you think that finding out for yourself that God is real isn't important.

Now whose tradition do I follow to do that? How about about Native American and a little peyote? Delphic Oracles? Is acid the modern equivelent?

Finding your Diety is probably something done more by accident than by purpose.
