Pro-Obama Super PAC Raised Just $59,000 In January | Fox News

Priorities USA, the political committee founded by former Obama aides, raised a grand total of $59,000 in January.

That's enough to buy a snazzy car with "Obama 2012" stickers on it or perhaps cover travel expenses for staff, but not enough to compete on the airwaves. By comparison, the pro-Mitt Romney Restore Our Future group raised $6.6 million in January. Winning our Future, the pro-Newt Gingrich fund, raised $11 million.

Though Obama's campaign and the Democratic National Committee have a robust fundraising operation -- bringing in $29 million in January -- federal campaign finance law limits individual donations to $2,500. The Republican National Committee boasted on Tuesday that the Republican field combined with the RNC raised $31.5 million during that same time period.

They call that a Super-ficial PAC.

On the surface, it looks like a PAC, but underneath, there's nothing.

Getting the most super PAC money is nothing to brag about, in fact it is something for the competition to beat you mercilessly on.

Obama has one down month and you are prematurely ejaculating on yourselves?

Mr. Obama remains the presidential race’s top fund-raiser: His total haul for the campaign so far is $151.4 million, slightly ahead of the pace he set in January 2008, during a hotly contested Democratic primary.

Mr. Obama’s fund-raising for this re-election cycle has surpassed that of President George W. Bush, one of the Republican Party’s most prolific fund-raisers. At the same point in 2004 — as an incumbent facing re-election — Mr. Bush had taken in about $145.6 million for his campaign. With no primary to fight, Mr. Obama ended January with close to $76 million in cash on hand, far more than any of his Republican rivals are likely to report.

Oh noes! Obama is doing what we've been doing for months!

The horror.
The horror.

not if you've decided to promote Super PAC's yourself, like Obama has. You can't complain about someone elses SuperPAC when you're now using them yourself. It's what they call, hypocritical.

no, I just thought it was pretty funny.

obama makes mistakes. He had a 35,000 per person fundraiser in Bel Aire. Then he timed his arrival in Los Angeles to put the peasants in their place. His motorcade was right in the middle of rush hour closing off several main streets. He wanted to show power. As a result, only those closest to the venue could get there. Everyone else gave up in traffic frustration and went back home.
