<a href=http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/N19473451.htm>"...Where Osama bin Laden is..."</a> Now isn't that just convenient. With Dubbyuh's poll numbers plummeting in every area...With AMerica growing more and more dissatisfied with his handling of Iraq...With his inability to make any meaningful advances with his domestic agenda...Porter Goss trots out Osama bin Laden.

Now, if the Administration had remained focused on Al Qaeda, OBL and Afghanistan, we would have spiked Al Qaeda, OBL would be dead or in custody, and Afghanistan would be a viable democracy instead of breaking up into numerous drug-lord controlled fiefdoms.

But no...That was not to be. Dubbyuh had a chubby for Saddam. And he stated that <a href=http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/03/20020313-8.html>he really isn't concerned</a> about Osama.

I think it safe to say that instead of pronouncements from the administration about the color code for the terror alert when Dubbyuh;s poll numbers drop, we can now expect to hear that Osama bin Laden's capture is imminent.

I agree with most of this, however the "isn't concerned about Osama" statement came from Bush actually listening to detractors who thought the "Dead or Alive" comment made him into a "cowboy" and was irresponsible and that the WOT should have a wider focus than one man. This is one example of how one is damned if they do and damned if they don't. I would fault him more for actually listening to the detractors for the change of focus...

Why do you think Bush gives two rats asses what his 'poll numbers' are doing?

I hope that is actually accurate. As I stated in my previous post, most of his faux pas happen when he falls for the opposition line and attempts appeasement.
