A poll released this week by the National Association of Manufacturers and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) shows that a majority of small business owners and manufacturers think the U.S. business environment is getting progressively worse.

The national survey, conducted between Aug. 13 and Sept. 4, interviewed 800 small business owners and manufacturers and found that 69 percent of them think President Barack Obama’s policies have hurt American businesses and manufacturers, and 55 percent would not start a business today given the current environment.

The survey showed that small business owners and manufacturers think federal regulations, taxes, government spending and the costs of health insurance and energy are the main causes of slow economic growth.

Notice that it doesn't say what the chances for success were BEFORE the Bush crash. As a small business owner, I've seen hundreds of start ups fail because they had no real business plan but the single biggest cause of failure is lack of start up capital. People really do believe they'll be able to take money out of their business within the first year and that's incredibly rare. If you're starting a business, "don't quit your day job" is NOT a joke.

Hunt said his company has covered 100 percent of their employees’ health insurance since the day they started, but they may not be able to continue doing that in the face of Obamacare.

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. ObamaCare DOES save small money for small businesses.

It really is a shame that rw's just blindly accept the shit they're fed instead of learning for themselves. This is just another hit piece that ignores the facts because they know that rw's will not check facts for themselves.

The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is a lobbying group that calls itself "the voice of small business."[1] However, the group has been shown to lobby on issues that favor large corporate interests and run counter to the interests of small businesses.[2][3] News reports have also found that NFIB, which claims to be non-partisan, engages in partisan politics, and receives millions in hidden contributions

Ironic isn't it?

On behalf of the Center for Media and Democracy, the Center's then-Research Director Sheldon Rampton started SourceWatch on January 15, 2003 and launched it publicly with 200 articles created by the Center on March 10, 2003.

Sheldon Rampton (born August 4, 1957) was the American editor of PR Watch, and is the author of several books that criticize the public relations industry and what he sees as other forms of corporate and government propaganda.

Rampton was born in Long Beach, California. At the age of three, his family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where his father worked as a musician. Raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), he spent two years in Japan as a Latter-day Saint (LDS) missionary from 1976 to 1978. Upon returning to the United States, however, he left the LDS Church, influenced in part by Mormon feminist Sonia Johnson.

Everyone knows that fines are good for small businesses. How could anyone say that obamacare doesn't help small business by handing them hefty fines.

Small business just won't hire people that will cause them a fine.
