Actually this is one that both parties are responsible for. I remember all the way back in the election of ’92 when the candidates were asked in a national debate about the then proposed legislation called NAFTA, Ross Perot said that if it passed “you would hear a giant sucking sound of American jobs being sucked across the border. Well I wouldn’t have put it so colorfully, but he couldn’t have been more correct as that is exactly what happened, and that bill had bi-partisan support.

One could argue however that republicans are more guilty than democrats as they propose and fight for most of the sweetheart trade deals that have destroyed American manufacturing, however democrats have often supported those deals thanks to the money thrown around by the corporate lobby regardless of the financial and electoral support of labor unions who are often harmed by said arrangements.

In fact if one looks at a graph of the percentage of unionized jobs over the course of the last thirty years one can plainly see the steady decline of unions as a result of manufacturing loss. Now there’s virtually none left except for unions in construction trades, and conservatives (at the behest of their big money donors) are openly gunning for them.

With labor unions comprising a high percentage of the financial support of the democratic party, it would appear the liberal officials have been acting against their own best interests in supporting the trade deals that have led to the outsourcing of American manufacturing. good job folks

The progressive Democrats and progressive republicans that raised the capital gains taxes through the roof and the unions who are in constant demand for increases in member wages is what caused manufacturing in this country to go away. When you create an environment where companies move to other countries because it's more business friendly, that's when they will leave and take those jobs with them.

Actually, after all the loopholes our tax laws allow US corps, the a majority of US corps aren't taxed that much.
