Petraeus Scandal Could Bring Obama Down

I think Petraeus is an idiot for signing on with this White House. Nothing good could come from it.

You know....I'm not going to excuse his behavior......but it's a damned shame that a person who has served honorably for so long and achieved the status he had pissed it all away because he let his dick do his thinking for him for a while.

I hope to God he didn't pass on classified information.

What leads you to think this has anything to do with Obama. The facts so far seem to point to the FBI knowing about it, deciding there was no criminal behavior, and dropping it. Then an FBI agent with a hardon for Petraeus (fueled by jealousy perhaps) tells Eric Cantor, who several days later calls (or has a staffer call) the FBI to make sure they know.

Well, for starters obamalamadingdong stuck his nose in this morning and said Petraues didn't have to testify, the stand in could do it. That's pretty damn telling in and of its self. He's got some serious skin in this game. Serious.

Both the House and the Senate Committees can ASK Petraeus to testify in closed door meetings. If he refuses, they can subpoena him and force him to testify.

It would seem really remarkable that all of this took place prior to the FBI vetting of General Petraeus for the top slot at the CIA so we have that failure as well.

And there may be the smoking gun; if the FBI reported it to the President and the Senate body that held his confirmation hearings and these men simply ignored it...this should blow up in all of their faces and let the chips fall where they may. If the FBI didn't know it, that is in some light an even greater scandal.

Otherwise, it might be viscerally satisfying for the right but politically pointless – unless the VP becomes a republican.

Added benefit I guess. However if the background check was done and the FBI report shows they knew AND the executive let it go....I dont see the administration surviving it. Lots of "ifs" but some big ones too

I never made any declarations about the elections, but don't let that stop you from lying or addressing the comment that I made here.

I think the polls are fine as well, they've shown Romney overtaking Obama for the last several weeks, and the trend will continue. I just don't think they're accurately reflecting how much he is pulling ahead.

So far it has only been Fox News that has covered Benghazi and have been lying like hell. The other networks are talking about the affair, the resignation, and that Petraeus was supposed to testify on Thursday. Nobody has even hinted at a scandal involving President Obama. I find the timing to be extremely convenient for President Obama.

Have you completely forgotten that Benghazi is more than enough to start impeachment proceedings against obama, but that will never happen.........so if you think that this whole thing about a sex scandal is about to turn his presidency on its ear, well, let's just say you may have consumed a little too much happy juice. It will never happen! Now, a combination of this plus futher proceedings on Benghazi showing he is culpable (even if obama is culpable they will certainly try their best to not present that evidence to the public), massive voter fraud, fast and furious evidence showing he is culpable, etc....then we MIGHT have a chance at impeachment. Otherwise, nada. The left know this and are busy taunting everyone with it....it's apparently their "revenge" for Bush going to war in Iraq/Afghan. Childish and stupid, but whatever.
