There are many teachings by the Buddha and some of them appear to contradict each other.

Sounds like the Buddha was either confussed or self deluded

Seems like the teachings of the Buddha would trump the teachings of any other Buddhaist.

Lama Surya Das studies the teachings of the Buddha. wikepedia referenced a sutra for the claim that the Buddha denounced God but provided no link.

The Buddha did not do much denouncing of other beliefs. He often chose to remain silent on some questions.

It would take quite a bit of study to research this sutra which I haven't heard of and find the specific reference.. wikepedia in haste to add a topic doesn't always wait for the links to references.
