Any bill that is passed has to be voted on AGAIN by BOTH houses AFTER reconciliation. So the Speaker of the House, and every other member of BOTH houses, would certainly know what was in a bill before it was passed.

Progressives have had 100 years of steady Progress toward redoing the USA and in response there has been zero, zippo, nada, jackshit!

Think of it since 1913 we've have 4 major shifts Leftward, fundamentally altering the balance of power in the USA between the people and the government.

In 1913, the 16th Amendment neutron bombed the States as powerful counterweights to the power of the Federal government. The States are still there, but they lost whatever power they had to curtail the growth of the government. In 1913 we also got a Central bank known as the Federal Reserve.

For all the good done by Harding and Coolidge in the 20's, there was never any rollback of the Progressive Agenda!

If the 1930 and 40, we had the New Deal, Social Security, Fanni Mae, HUD all fundamentally altered the landscape Leftward. Ike in the 50's rolled none of it back.

In the 60's we got the Great Society and Reagan's 80's rolled none of it back!

In 2008 we got ObamaCare and FinReg, and now a Republican Congress that can do NOTHING to roll back any of it.

Pay attention! When we start eliminating Government Departments, then we can talk about real change in direction.

The fact is, as you like to put it, that these major legislations that you seem to be praising are destroying this country. If that is what you want, then so be it.

My point was that we don't need any major legislation right now. We simply can't afford the shit she shoved down our throats.

Praise her all you want. I will continue to remind people that she and her goons have damn near bankrupted America and will probably succeed in doing so before this is all said and done. That will be the one thing she can truthfully place upon her resume.
