wasnt quite sure where to put this one.
but im looking for a pda for work that has internet access for driving directions. anyone familar with these instruments? or would some type of GPS be better?

I've used the palm with internet access. It wasn't great. Reception is very spotty. I have never tried GPS but they've been around for a while and the military and boaters use them with great success.

The garmin 2620 is incredible. I travel alot and would inevitably get lost to the point where I had to get out maps and precariously plot my way
back to a main road. When I use the GPS I feel like I have a full time guide.

I don't have much experience with either, but i'd probably go with GPS over Palm for directions if that's really your main interest in acquiring said gadget. Prices may even be down now as they've been out for a while and come standard in many cars(not my piece of shit).

They use them for almost everything - email, internet access, my boss is constantly contacting me from the air. He thinks this blackberry is the best thing ever invented!
