Part 2 following President Lee!! We introduce President Barack Obama to you today. President Obama was elected into office in January, 2009, as the first African-American President of the United States of America. He set goals to provide more economic opportunities for ordinary citizens and introduced many legislations for ordinary citizens. He was selected as the most respected person in the world by American citizens. Also, in October of 2009, barely 10 months after his election, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, proving his exceptional ability in foreign policies and international cooperation. Moreover, President Obama set an example for the world by demonstrating a positive and active stance at the 4th Toronto G-20 International Summit. Although not directly accomplished by President Obama, in November of 2008, the United States hosted the first G-20 Summit in Washington D.C. successfully and received many positive feedbacks. The atmosphere in Republic of Korea has been tense in preparation for this international event. And President Obama, with his practical experience, has been an ardent supporter of Korea. We expect to see President Obama leading the G-20 Summit with great leadership and fruitful achievement.
