The Palestinian Authority (PA) continues to glorify terror and martyrdom - specifically to its impressionable youth, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reports Monday.

At a ceremony last week, Governor of Ramallah Laila Ghannam called suicide bomber Ayyat Al-Akhras - at age 17, the youngest female Palestinian suicide bomber - and other terrorists "brave heroes."

"Yesterday, we received more [bodies] of our brave heroes' - Ayyat Al-Akhras and the bodies of Martyrs (Shahids) who sacrificed their pure blood so we will live in freedom," Ghannam stated, on a live PA state television broadcast of the ceremony. PMW provided the translation of her remarks. "Allah willing, we will remain committed to their promise and make tombs that will befit their stature."

Ayyat Al-Akhras was a terrorist who detonated her suicide vest at a supermarket in Kiryat HaYovel in 2002, murdering two and injuring 28. Her body was returned to the PA as a 'gesture' earlier this month.

Other dignitaries present at the ceremony included PA Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, PA Mufti Muhammad Hussein and PA Minister of Agriculture Walid Assaf.

Akhras’ attack gained particular attention overseas due to her young age – she was 18 when she carried out the attack – and the fact that one of her victims, 17-year-old Rachel Levy, was roughly the same age.

Let's put it this way. The youth are the future. If you can't see it is wrong to send out young people to kill themselves just so they can take out people that you consider your enemies, there is something wrong with you. Right now in many parts of the Muslim world, innocent people are being killed, including many young people, who are Christians, Hindus and Muslims. Since you just want to focus on Israel and nothing else, it only shows that you and your fellow travelers here really don't care about innocent people and are just two-bit anti-Semites who think they is fooling the readers. However, carry on because it is really amusing to see you and your fellow travelers falling over each other trying to make Israel appear so bad, bad, bad when the truth is there are terrible things happening in many places which you conveniently close your eyes to. Why not wander around in some of these places and see if you, yourself, come out in one piece.

Gee, the Turks were able to murder over a millioin Armenians along with Greeks and Assyrians just with their trusty swords. There is no excuse in the world for people to send out their youths to blow themselves up. It seems that a lot of Muslims do not appreciate their youths. It reminds me of how during the Iran/Iraq War, young Iranian boys were sent out first so that if their were landmines out there, they would be the first to be blown up. These young boys were given little keys to hang around their necks, and they were told that these were the keys to Paradise. Howeve, I don't think anyone here is stopping you from becoming a Shaheed, are they? Perhaps you are an Arab and are angry because you think that bad Jews took away the family jewels and you want to get back at them.

Read the thread title again. You can blabber on and on if it makes you feel good, but the truth is that in the world of today, the people encouraging the youth to become suicide bombers are Muslims. You can discuss it with your teacher in the madrassa and see what he has to say. Maybe he will convince you to become a Shahhed. By the way, I am sure the Tibetans are depressed with the occupation of their country by the Chinese, but we don't see them become suicide bombers. If they are unhappy, they might set themselves on fire, but this way they do not harm innocent others when they kill themselves.
