And another created crisis has been averted, so the mighty American economy can roll on!

So the GOP has declared victory, and Dems wail that the store has been given away, the REALITY is that in a few months all this crap will be coming on the floor of the House and Senate AGAIN.....only THIS time the Party of NO loses it's filibuster edge, as a "super congress" of six will have the ultimate policy making decisions...and Obama will have the final say on everything. (wow....from big bureacracy to 7 people deciding the fate of our gov't and country....with the approval of the Dems(libs and progs) and the GOP (neocons/teabaggers).

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...thousands of airline workers who are responsible for inspections, repairs and upgrades to the airlines and airports have been put on FURLOUGH thanks to the inability/unwillingness of the GOP to properly finance them (shades of Reagan's Union busting!) So folks, just hope nothing happens before your neocon/teabagger representatives get their acts together and give those people THEIR MONEY!

More to come, I'm sure.

Yawn...

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced an agreement Thursday afternoon that will end a stalemate over funding for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and allow 70,000 workers to return to work.

Sen. Reid: Congress Will Fund FAA, Christian News

I'm thinkin, Democrats wont be happy until passengers are walking naked in US airports.

They certainly believe in overkill for passenger inspection and loss of passengers privacy..

Looks like the Dems should have left well enough alone for the FAA.

So you're in favor of union busting and closing smaller airports that would add to congestion?

Why is it that every time the Repubs make moves that are NOT in the interest of workers, employees or the general public the neocon punditry try to paint the Dems as the bad guys?

Wake up and pay attention to your own link, Lumpy...because you're not making sense. Observe:

... Two main issues led to the deadlock over FAA funding. The first issue had to do with unions. Democrats would like to make unionization easier for airline employees while Republicans would like to make it more difficult. Prior to 2010, airline employees who did not cast a ballot on the question of unionization were counted as “no” votes. The National Mediation Board issued a ruling in 2010 saying that non-votes would no longer be counted, thus making a vote in favor of unionization more likely. Republicans wanted to overturn that ruling.

... The second issue had to do with subsidizing flights at rural airports. The Essential Air Service Program (EAS) subsidized flights at about 150 rural airports across the country at a cost of about $200 million. Republicans wanted to reduce or eliminate this program.

It never ceases to amaze me how the supporters of the neocon/teabagger GOP consistently support policies that are not in their best interests....and subsequently blame the bad actions of the Republicans on the Dems.

Everyone has a story. How about reality for a change?

It would seem the Tea Party and the New Conservatives, who are now running the GOP, are not about reality, but ideology.

Yep but that has been going on for a few decades.
And in fairness some on the left are the same way. Just not as organized about it.

True....but the left extremist are in the minority and disorganized...and the Dems Party is NOT about to try and use them like the neocon GOP used the teabaggers...nor are the left extremist about to let themselves be used.

And the beat goes on.
