Turkey, mashed taters, brown gravy and lots of veggies. I would say yams except I recently learned they are not really yams. Them orange thangs is sweet potatos, the soft kind. The firm ones are the yellow sweet potatos, both very healthy, much moreso than red or russet. Yams are a different animal altogether and from Africa.

^^^ I second that. :) :) :)

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

Holly

P.S. The white part is all that I care for of a deviled egg though. The yellow part goes to anyone who wants it. :D :D :D

Mashed potato casserole with sour cream, cheddar cheese and green onions; Home made gravy (not for the potato casserole though) for the turkey tonight and for the next few nights on a hot turkey sandwich.

What is the one dish that is a MUST HAVE for a Thanksgiving Dinner? (other than Turkey...)

You can name 2 if you must, but no more!

Mine is:

Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes and Yams are two entirely different things. Not even related.

Yams are native to West Africa
Sweet Potatoes come from South America

This Turkey Day, my family is having chicken and pork tamales along with pozole.

People often lump them together - I saw no need to make them 2 diff things for a simple poll. :)
