    I would say he was quite successful in placating his target audience. After all, LaPierre is a lobbyist above all else, and firearms manufacturers are his biggest donors, which are part of the Military-Industrial Complex that Ike warned us about.

    Huge success for the NRA and gun owners as the issue is such a obfuscated clusterfuck now that nothing will happen.
