Shortly before his death, local media reported that Robertus complained of headaches and asked for medication before going to his office.

He was later found hanged.

“He did not come out from there for several hours, Robertus did not answer the phone. The employees decided to go into the office and found his body. The top manager committed suicide and died of asphyxia. He worked in the company for about 30 years,” the Baza telegram channel wrote.

According to the publication, Lukoil announced the death of Robertus on March 12.
